![]() ![]() Unless someone successfully reverse engineers Mirai (their closed source game compiler) and ports the game code to run on a modified build of Panda3D created specifically for the 3DS with proper signatures to connect to their servers, there's no way to port the game to the platform. The Toontown Rewritten team treats their source code like it's Joey's first-born child. DAILY PLAYERS 12.48K ToonTown Rewritten is estimated to have 12,478 players per day this month. TOTAL PLAYERS 1.31M ToonTown Rewritten is estimated to have 1,313,475 total players or subscribers. Trust me, I'm personally opposed to this as much as you probably are. ToonTown Rewritten is ranked 45 out of 137 tracked MMOs in terms of aggregate server and player population. Taking into consideration that the engine is 14 years old and no longer relevant, porting it to a modern system where nobody would use it seems pointless. The ENTIRE Panda3D game engine would need to be ported over in order for Toontown to run. Now, let me just say, Disney never gave the rights to. With this initial gripe aside, here's 2 key reasons why porting the game makes no sense at all:ฤก. For example, Toontown Rewritten releases the most updates and Toontown Infinite has the easiest toontasks. I can say that based off of firsthand experience the codebase is outdated and just an overall piece of shit. I spent roughly two and a half years modifying/building upon/restoring the Toontown Online source code that Toontown Rewritten is built upon. But if you want a game that (in the future) will be nothing like TTO, Go for Infinite. If you want a classic TT feel, go for ReWritten. Sorry to rain on your parade, but this is beyond unreasonable. INFINITE Forever It depends what you want.
